Where marginalia is located within the book (such as on pastedowns, flyleaves, endpapers, title page, margins) and on the page (top, bottom, right or left margin; centre, middle, left, right; reversed)
The database shows where in the book and on the page early modern women’s marginalia can be found. It has been speculated, for example, that women did not annotate title pages, which our data shows to be false. These visualisations show both the location in the book and the location on the page for the marginalia in the database.
